Training Modules for the Syndromic Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections - 2nd edition, WHO, 2005
This training course is intended for in-service training for people responsible for STI management at any first-level health facility. The program aims to equip clinicians and service providers with the skills to manage STIs using the syndromic management approach, a group of symptoms and clinical signs used to determine the appropriate treatment. It also includes patient education (about the infection, how STIs are transmitted, risky sexual behavior and how to reduce risk), partner management and the provision of condoms.
